Even in a disappointing 5-7 season in 2014, the Bears had a wide-open offense that had no trouble scoring. It was their defense that let them down. But signs are they will be much improved on the D side this year. It's hard to evaluate their 73-14 win over Grambling, but it's clear the offense is still able to put lots of points on the board -- 52 of their 73 points scored in the first half. And the defense gave up no points till the 4th quarter.
The two basic questions facing the Aztecs: Will the D, which looked so good against USD, be as effective against a scoring machine? And will the offense, with very little passing and a disappointing running game, make big improvements this week?
Kick-off is 2 p.m.
